There are only a few days left to see the exhibition of Bob Dylan’s drawings at the Lightbox gallery in Woking. Yes, Bob Dylan! I keep pinching myself. The only place in England outside London – well, just outside London – where the great man’s art has been on show.  How did the Lightbox get this chance to display Zimmerman’s work? Presumably because it won the Art Fund prize earlier this year. How did it respond? By running out of almost all promotional material including postcards by the time I pitched up on January 2.  I bought one of the last two posters.  To be charitable, perhaps they underestimated the amount of interest. Certainly, they did not over-promote the exhibition in the town. A chance missed, perhaps. Never mind. As for me, I shall put my poster up on the wall and just stare at it in wonderment from time to time: Bob Dylan. At the Lightbox. In Woking.
