Discovered the delights of Millmoor Common, above, in Old Woking the other day.  Blue sky, unseasonable warmth and sunshine for early April.  Rippling streams, waterfalls and sluices punctuate these stretches of River Wey water meadow. You can walk across a footbridge to the New Inn at Send or take another turning on towards Westfield Common. You might see the odd dog walker, but you are likely to come across more butterflies than people. You will also come upon the half-demolished ruins of the old Unwin Brothers printworks on the Wey, below, now destined to become a housing development, and you may well think what a shame it is that such a splendid, interesting  building, in such a specactular setting, could not have been saved and utilised for the public good.
