Woking Lightbox new

Woking’s Lightbox gallery is to bring in an admission charge for adults from 25 November this year. The “annual pass” will cost just £5, but the Lightbox says in its latest brochure that the income will make “an enormous difference”, and is needed “at a time when we are experiencing many demands on our funds”. There are certainly a number of big exhibitions coming up at the Lightbox. From 15 October – 4 January The Impact of War exhibition from the Ingram Collection is being staged, next year sees Damien Hirst and Turner, with Constable and Henry Moore due the following year. A tenner for that lot doesn’t sound too bad. The Lightbox adds: “The additional income will also allow us to continue and expand our free workshops and our service to the local community.”  The Lightbox, as well as being a beautiful building, is a fantastic asset that Woking should be proud of. Keep supporting it, folks!
